Illinois River Jam

Peyton's Place - October 12 & 13 - 2018

October 12 & 13 2018 - Peyton's Place - Tahlequah Oklahoma

Illinois River Jam is an annual camping and music gathering held on the banks of the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  For more than ten years, music fans have come to Peyton’s Place on scenic hwy 10 to enjoy supremely talented bands, songwriters and pickers in beautiful Northeast Oklahoma.  Two evenings of music, on one stage, under a big tent, set up in the campground. This is a fall festival after the busy summer tourist season so the weather is usually beautiful and we have the place all to ourselves.  This weekend is a great way to enjoy the river without the wild summer crowds and a great way to enjoy world class live music without the big festival crowds. We don’t do the $8 beer line’s BYOB...bring in all the food you want.  Bring your kids. Bring your dog. Bring your favorite lawn chair. If your uncle starts getting really loud after he drinks nine tall boys of natty light then please don’t bring him.  Our policy is strictly friendly and chill.  In an effort to keep this a small festival, tickets to the event are limited are on sale now!

Camping - Tickets include primitive tent camping for Friday and Saturday!  Camping upgrades to electric or RV sites are available but limited.  If you would like to upgrade to an electric or RV site please contact Peyton's Place for pricing and availability.  If you have not reserved an electric campsite please don't set up at one or you will be asked to tear down and move your camp.

Early Arrival - You are welcome to arrive at Peyton's Place to set up camp early but you will need to check in at the office when you arrive and you will be expected to pay for any extra days camping.  Your ticket covers you for Friday and Saturday camping.

Dogs - Illinois River Jam is dog friendly!  We want you to bring your canine camping buddy but please be considerate of other campers and other dogs.  If your dog is going to bark at everything that moves all night long then for it's probably best you don't bring him/her along.

Food and Drink - IRJ is always BYOB and bring your own food.  We do not have beer/food vendors at IRJ because we aren't interested in gouging you for beer or tacos.  So plan to bring whatever you want to eat and drink!  There is a small store at Peyton's Place and the Illinois River Store just down the road for ice, beer, lunch meat and basic camping needs as well.

Music - Music is all on one stage under the big tent from 3pm-11pm on Friday and Saturday. Rain or shine!  We take pride in making this festival more about music and less about getting wasted at the river so we ask that if you are under the tent, please respect the performers and the people around you by LISTENING.  If your own loud voice is what you like to hear then please enjoy it anywhere on the property other than where people are trying to listen to music.

The River - The campground and stage is right on the banks of the Illinois River.  You can actually sit in the water and take in the music if you want!  Float trips are available at Peyton's Place and we highly recommend you enjoy one while you are there.  Tips: Start early and 6 miles is more than enough.

Vending - We do not have vendors at Illinois River Jam. If you have a small setup of arts, crafts, handmade goods please feel free to bring them and sell them FROM YOUR CAMPSITE! What you can’t do is set up a commerce tent anywhere near the stage. No commercial trucks, trailers, generators etc..

Lastly our policy is be cool, be friendly and be chill.  We strictly enforce this policy by example.  You can literally act like an insane person at the river any weekend of the year but not at this event.  If you or anyone in your party is not following these basic rules, is too intoxicated or especially is distracting from the show they will be asked to leave.

We are super excited about this stellar lineup and we look forward to making great memories with all of you this October!
